Group Simoneau Inc. manufactures a range of Low Water Volume "Steam Boilers", "Hot Water Boilers" and "Thermal Fluid" glycol Boilers. These boilers are designed by Thermodesign Inc.
The Aquatube AQT Series of Low Water Steam boilers are a Water Tube type boiler. These boilers are approved by TSSA and are Operator Exempt in Ontario, Canada to a Maximum of 1500 BHP
Larger sizes are achievable with some staffing (see TSSA rules)
Units are Manufactured in sizes from 100 to 600 BHP in 50 BHP increments, as High and Low pressure Steam.
These Aquatube units can be fired on Gas or # 2 Oil.
The Boilers come with Full Burner Modulation having a turndown available as Low as 8:1 using special burners
These Low Volume units are supplied with an integrated economizer, producing efficiencies as high as 85% with a feed water temperature of 180F, exceeding most other suppliers efficiency claims.
The Aquatube AQT Series, boilers come with a Wet Back design and double insulation on the side walls, reducing radiation losses and refractory replacement cost.
